Swooshing sound audible in car on acceleration.

This started yesterday.
The hiss (bellow,whoosh) sound happens on acceleration when turbo kicks in. There is slight black puff of smoke .

The noise seems to come from the passenger side.

I am hoping a hose has a leak.

No error codes on scanning.

Help !

Please give more details I.e of the sound being made, when it happens any idea of where it's coming from, does black smoke and noise happen at the same time and only then

Being a sound coming from passenger side I'm inclined to think maybe egr or turbo related but I'm not looking at it so can't guarantee that's right and it'd difficult if it hasn't thrown up a code, if it's a recent thing it may throw up a code after so many runs so keep an eye out for one, is it only when being driven or stationary while revved too if so you need to have someone rev it so you can find the source (a bit of tubing can help with this if you are having trouble,use something like what carries your screenwash)

A bit more burnt combustion smell than the usual slightly cleaner (post catalytic coverter smell).

I have seen an oily resedue at the intake... you know the visible pipe with an electronic intake valve near the front of the engine

There is no swoosh or hiss when revved stationery only when moving . It is definitely turbo related and sounds like a pressured system that is compromised . I just wish i knew how to get at the offending piece

Black smoke is often to do with the air /fuel ratio being off so maybe not enough air, you mean the piece of ducting that leads out to the front of the car (the air intake that goes through to the air filter and from then onto the turbo? I have a 3.0 tdi sorry I have to make sure so without checking the 2.7 tdi engine lay out.....) oh man that shouldn't have oil there I'd check your air filter see what that's like you do often get a little oil in the damper (the bit on the non exhaust side next to the turbo) but it shouldn't be much and shouldnt go that far back maybe you have an oil pipe to the turbo gone or a oil seal or bearings gone in the turbo that may affect the blades in the turbo spinning round and not provide enough air, what do you want to get to on the car, the turbo? I may be able to help with that by guiding you but I'm puzzled there's no codes for turbo you may need to look into getting whatever codes it did give if possible it would be a good insight it may have thrown up a code me or someone else knows more about as audi drivers and DIY repairers or technicians where as your garage may not have seen them before
