Hi everyone.

Not so long ago my Bose subwoofer speaker on the passenger side has started to rattle.

The culprit was the dust cap on the woofer itself, as the glue has come off slightly of it making it vibrate against the cone of the speaker when the volume goes high.

I have removed the dust cap and the glue around it (peeled it off very carefully), also took off glue residue from the dust cap itself with a fingernail so it could bond better, bought some E6000 glue E6000 Glue 5.3ml Craft Glue 5.3ml (Like Shoe Goo) | eBay (read on some audio forum that audio specialists use this to glue speaker dust caps on to the cones), reattached the dust cap to the cone with the glue and after 48 hours it was settled in and the issue gone.

Here are some videos and a picture of what it was like before and after:

2: Dust cap off (no rattle) - A6 C6 Bose Speaker no rattle (dust cap off) - YouTube

Not sure how long this fix will last, but hope this will help someone who has a rattle on one of their Bose subwoofers in front (I believe same woofers are used in the rear too
