    Hi...
Is the Quattro on a 2.0 Ltr TDI a full Quattro (permanent) or a half cut Quattro (as and when needed)
    Just wondering...

I think the quattro system on the A6 is Torsen.....so it's permanent......I think.

Yep - it's not a part-time system like the TT and A3, it's the "proper" quattro system.

    Hi...
Thanks, why I was asking was I read somewhere that Audi had started doing an Ultra Quattro, were it would drive the front wheels and bring the rears in as and when needed. Think it used a modified version of the FWD S Tronic gearbox rather than the one used in say a 3.0 TDI Quattro.

Here is some info I’ve found...

“The front wheel drive Audis on the new A4 1.4, and current gen A6 and A7 uses the DL382-7F wet clutch gearbox while the Quattro variants found in the A4 and A5 2.0L uses the DL382-7Q.”

I noticed the latest petrol A4 allroad introduced such an "on demand" system but never looked at other A4s. It may be a lot more prevalent by now.
