    i need a 1.8 golf engine for the mark2 golf.
    anyone got one?

    ok so you need a engine
    WHICH ONE 8v 16 v ?????
    do you want to put the 2.0l head on a 1800 bottom end or ??????

    errrm i don't really know. i'm new to this and it's my first project. help please? what would be better. it's 1.3 but had 1.8 and blew it.16v i think it was. it dropped straight in. the botom has ceased on it.
    what do you mean by 2.0 head? drop a 2.0 litre lump in? will it drop straight in?

    if u have the money and time a 2.0 might drop in. there are sections at the back of performance vw mag which sells reconditioned 1.8 8v or 16v engines...pretty good car for ur first project m8..good luck...id liek to hea how it goes.

    You are running a 16V engine in a 1.3 Golf?
    Without upgraded brakes, only 4 gears, and all the other bits that would be strengthened?
