Picking up my new toy on Friday, 05 plate FR TDi 150 with 61k on the clock. Its due a service and have been told and was confirmed by Seat UK that the cambelt on this engine is not done until 80k. I'm thinking it needs to be done at 60k like most other engines of this type. Am I right or is Seat wrong??

I would change it if i were you. Im not sure about how they rate it but some cars are recomended to change at 60,000 miles or 40,000miles if its had short journies, And with a guess you dont know how this car has been driven weather it has had short runs or long runs..
Change it for the few quid it would cost compaired to the 000`s it will cost if it snaps
