Hi. Been away from the forum for a bit, but back again with a 14 C7 3.0tdi S Line Quattro Avant I am a bit dissappointed with the wheels though, got the 18" double 5 spokes, so am looking for some 20's that will suit the car, is there a C7 wheel thread like there is on the C6 forum. Driving myself nuts trying to decide which ones to get, am thinking maybe 10 or 12 spokes look best, but hard to tell when not on the car!
57 A6 2.0 tdi 140 SE. Standard except for MMI Basic + and a remap by Expert Tuning, and a want list as long as the equator!

Can't comment on replacement wheels but I'll give you my (probably unwelcome) wisdom on wheels generally.
    - Less spokes / bigger spokes MUCH easier to clean.
    - Smaller wheels MUCH cheaper rubber - it really is astonishing.
    - Smaller wheels / bigger side-walls = much fewer wheel dings on curbs etc.
    - Smaller wheels have more readily available winter tyres if you care

I guess I'm not too wrapped up in the whole "20 inch rotor" mania - or any of the other 18"+ size wheels for the A6 (or 17" for the 2.0 Tdi) ... I just don't see the point apart from there being an improvement in handling if you really trow it around. Yes some of them look lovely but the "living with it" disadvantages just make me give up on them in a British climate. The really nice car is perfect and the wheels look lovely days are maybe 6 or 7 months of the year here... and the rims are getting eaten by salt for the rest of the year.

More to the point I don't see them from inside the car... but I do get the handling change aspect if you really push on, although I think the A6 is a heavy car for that (and nose heavy although quattro helps)

Not to mention the added unsprung weight sapping acceleration , handling , mpg and damping .

I had 19's with 35 profile tyres on my old C6 with 40mm lower H&R springs and didn't think the ride was too bad and didn't have any issues with kerbing,or potholes. The S Line springs are softer and will still have 35 profile tyres on the C7 so the ride will be better than what i'm used to with improved handling and steering feel than currently with the 18's, and i will be keeping the current wheels as spares should i need them anyway. I want them mainly for the improved handling, but looks are important too. My only issue is deciding which ones! And remember that the C7 was designed to run 20's, being a factory option

I have 20” RS6C wheels . I think they are much nicer than rotor wheels. RS6C seem to be a standard black edition wheels in Ireland. Rotor is a standard black edition in the UK, right? At least 90% of the UK black edition imports come to Ireland with 20” rotor wheels.

I only have 17” wheels on my SE but I’ve got 3 litres and 313bhp up front. I’m more of a go good rather than look good kind of guy. I’ve looked at the configurator recently though and I don’t think you can buy an SE spec BiTurbo any more.

Really? I did not think you could run anything smaller than 18" wheels on a BiTdi 'cos the brakes are bigger and that is the smallest size that clears the calipers.

I've got the 20" titanium 5 twin spokes on my BE and I think even they look too small for it.

Are you looking to go OEM or something different?
