I am trying to identify the specific type of brake pads and discs to purchase for my 11 reg Golf 1.6 TDI Match CAYC.

Any clues on which type of Brake System (Lucas / Teves ??), size pads and discs would fit? Would the codes printed on a sticker in the boot be of any help? Is there a guide somewhere on how to interpret these codes?

You don't say if this is front or rear disc brakes? ETKA shows the parts but it doesn't say if they are Lucas or Teves. Front discs 288x25 vented, 312x25 vented, 345x30 vented.

PR Code: 1ZF Group: BAV Description: Disc brakes, front (Geomet D)
PR Code: 1ZE Group: BAV Description: Disc brakes, front (Geomet D)
PR Code: 1ZP Group: BAV Description: Disc brakes, front (Geomet D)

The PR codes on the data sticker don't tell you the make on mine 1ZA 1KD.

PR Code: 1ZA Group: BAV Description: Disc brakes, front
PR Code: 1KD Group: BAH Description: Disc brakes, rear

Any part place will tell you what fits your vehicle from the reg number/VIN number.

Thanks for sharing the info, @Keithuk

This was for the front brakes. Mine will be due for change soon. Added ETKA to my knowledgebase!!

The PR codes on the ETKA on mine are 1KD 1ZF.

I enquired at a local EuroCarParts branch. Was told the following will go. EuroCarParts Part number 10144067 .. I checked online ... this part id serves as an umbrella for the various brands i.e. an extra suffix is added for each brand's part. These are Teves 1ZF 280mm discs. Mine is a 2011 Golf 1.6 TDI Match. Will be able to confirm after my car's service which is due in 2 months. Leaving this information here in case someone else is looking too.
