Gday got a 1.6SR motor its a vw in australia, 5spd manual, im trying to find ways on increasing horsepower and throttle response, does anyone know of how i can achieve more out of this motor, so far it has a 2.5" flexihose from the front brake vent direct in to the air box with a pod filter thru to the MAF with a 2.5" stainless pipe direct to the throttle body, im lookin at getting a turbo muffler in replace of the rear muffler and removing the resonator with a piece of 2" pipe. Is there any other cheap modificatons to do to this motor? does it respond well to cam changes or head work? ecu is it worth the cost? can you upgrade the fuel system and the injectors to help with performance?, what about the intake runners can these be cleaned and opened up? any help would be good cause i cant find any information any where
    regards
