Retrofit rear camera

Evening all, is anyone able to recommend a place that supply and fit a rear camera on an A6?

100% agree. I don't use the cam for parking at all, but it's useful to look backwards if you are parking on some places you can't see backwards. It's something like the side cams in these cases, however I will never ever order it again if it will be a standalone option.

I was also keen on retrofitting the camera but apart from the fact I don't find a local installer in Belgium + price, having now seen it recently in an S6 and S7 the quality is very poor: very low resolution and very grainy photo.

I have therefore decided not to bother with it.

I retrofitted my own camera (and wrote the guide in the diy section) and find it really useful, especially the moving guidelines.

Agree the quality isn't brilliant but it's perfectly good enough to see obstacles, lines in car parks etc. The camera only outputs an analogue composite video signal so it's never going to be fantastic.

As an aside, the quality of the reversing camera in the new E class is incredible in comparison to the A6. It's like going from VHS to BluRay!

My wife's merc has a camera and quality is very good but can't seem to get on with it and the lines and where it think the car is heading. Prefer using mirrors and the parking sensor/window. Even the auto parallel park thing annoys me, I always cut in and take over 😄

You have VanDeursen near Brugge and you have MMI repair in Hamont. Both good retrofit companies. I got all my retrofit stuff from VanDeursen. But I still retrofit myself. Not so difficult to install a camera.
