My parking assist isn't working. VCDS scan shows fault with right front g252 sensor. Is is right when looking at the car or right from looking out the car? i.e. is driver side?

The drivers side sensor looks to have been replaced before as it hasn't bee sprayed to match.

How easy is this to swap? Does the bumper need to come off and if so how hard is that?

The position it is always when staying in the car. If you have right drive wheel than in your case it's driver's side. If you have left drive wheel it is passenger side.
It's very easy to change it. Just don't push too hard so you don't break something else)
