Econ light on - P1641

Had our A4 for just under 4 months and the air con as stopped working.

Ive had the computer plugged in at my local garage and it came back with "Check DTC Memory of A/C Controller P1641"

How do i go about that?

It started when the MAF sensor was changed. I question the garage but they didn't want to know as it wasn't covered under there "3 month warranty"

I would start by checking the a/c and cooling fan fuses in the end of the dash on the drivers side.

I've checked Fuses 1 & 6. and they are fine.

Could be the compressor pump is shot. Next I would get a specialist to check for gas in the system.

You need to get it scanned properly. Sounds like your garage is using a generic scanning tool. Could be the G65 sensor - this is what was wrong in my wife's car when the econ light came on. Hopefully a coincidence and nothing to do with the MAF. Could just be that the air con is working harder and needs re-gassing with the weather being warmer.
