    Hi,

I've taken all 8 bolts out holding the passenger side intake manifold out but there is a coolant pipe in the way covering one of the holes. I'm trying to carefully bend it out of the way but no joy so far. Any tips on removing the housing so I can replace the swirl flaps? I've searched through the forum but all the photo guides seem to have been hosted on photobucket and will not load as they are blocked from third party hosting.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Engine code is BKN.

I managed to get the right hand manifold off in the end by rolling it to the left then wiggling and swearing for about 15 minutes.

Cleaned the flaps, holes, and shaft. Fitted new arm and wiggled it back in with more swearing.

Light has gone off and engine hasn't blown up. Good result

Will attempt the drivers side next week. Wish me luck.

Undo this banjo bolt or it will snap the pipe. 10 mm(I think) on a 1/4 " universal joint will do it.just slacken it and move it around so you can take off the intact manifold. Don't take It off completely as it's a bugger to get back on
