    Hi Guys,

So my Lovely VW Sharan (Previously very reliable) Decided to suddenly have the following issue:

It starts and with 1 second cuts off so far i have tried:

Changing the Batteries in the key fob
Cleaning up the Key and key fob
Diconnecting the car main battery for around 30 minutes
Starting the car in gear and dropping the clutch straight away

No joy with any of that.

I've noticed the Door Alarm light comes on when the key is tuned and keeps flashing during starting the car and after the engine cuts out.

I havent put any fuel for around 3 days (Still just under quater of tank left) and everything has been working perfectly this issue has just randomly started.

Any help or advise would be great?? thanks

Do you know where the anti shudder flap is near the egr, just a long shot really just to make sure its not stuck closed but it does seem that its an immobiliser, after that the only option you've got is get it scanned for fault codes see whats up otherwise we're speculating.

Just been to get the key checked and they said it has no transponder signal and they can't find a chip??
Is it possible my car doesn't have an immobiliser?

    Thanks
