Hi All, I'm new on here and this is my first question, please excuse me in advance if this has been covered already but I'm having difficulty finding an answer.

I'm looking at adding side steps or running boards to a Touareg 2016 R Line Plus, VW dealer tells me its not possible to add them to this model. Not sure if this is accurate or not. If these are available any ideas who I can buy them from and where to have them fitted? I live in Essex but I can find a fitter if I get the part. It doesn't have to necessarily be an OEM product.

    Thanks.

I have the same problem. I’ve tried everywhere to find the correct steps. At the moment I’m waiting on a reply from a company who may be able to make them for me. If I’m successful I’ll let you know.

They can be fitted to R-Line Touaregs. There's a certain amount of cutting and refitting of the underbody covers but definitely possible.

I finally found the answer normal Rline ones will fit if you get custom made brackets for them. I had mine made at Autocraft body repairs in Washington UK
