Hopefully someone here can help solve whats wrong with me car. Got a Mreg TDI (think its a 1z engine gotta check) and the other day the power died and there was no vroom in it. Then yesterday it just died altogether. I thought originally it might be a fuel blockage, so i bypassed the filter and it started but ran very rough and died again and now it wont start at all with either the filter connected or not. Could it be the pump? Any suggestions would be great

It could be the pump or one of a number of problems. As it has diagnostic capabilities, why not make use of them?

You could buy yourself a VAG-COM cable but preferably a properly registered version so you can make full use of VAG-COM but you will need a lap top. Otherwise you will need someone to come out to you or get the car recovered to a garage.

Loosen one of the pipes on the injectors and get someone to operate the starter,u should have a fair amount of pressure out of the pipe, for each cycle of the engine,if the fuel supply and the pump are ok.
