    Hi all,

Well I have recently become the proud owner of a VW Bora 2.0 Sport. Had a few little questions and then came across this excellent forum. So I am hoping that I can become part of this wicked community.

Wondering if any of you would be able to answer the following?:

    1. The Climate control Air Con does not seem to get cold. I am hoping that it is just due for a refill which isn't too costly. I have noticed that the climate control lcd does flash when the ignition is switched on, but only for about 5-6 seconds, not 15 as the other forums say if there is a fault.

    2. When i move off in first gear it is slightly juddery and seems like it is not getting enough fuel into the engine. Also when I am at stand still and put my foot on the accelerator it holds back a little at first. It does not matter if the engine is warm or not. Anyone have any ideas? Timing perhaps?

    3. Lastly the Bora I have has been slightly Boyed by the front grill being removed and replaced with a badgeless one. I would like to keep the sweet 18" Chrome BadBoys but would like to have an original fron grill. Does anyone have a spare original spare grill or willing to swap?

Anyway thats enough questions from me. Hope to hear from you all soon.

    Cheers
    Sachie

    Hi unitzero,

Thanks for the reply. I had a look on the site you gave me and the grills are pretty cheap so will try and get around to doing that soon. In regards to my air con. I'm going to try refilling it and see if there are any leaks. Car is still juddering when moving off. Spoke to a garage and they are going to have a look at it and then hopefully recharge it to the warranty company.

    Cheers

Is your "sport" Auto or Manual? As a not less proud owner of a 2.0 manual, I can definetly say, it's no Sport, but it's not all bad either!
Check when they cleaned the Injectors, also check the MAF Sensor, it's acting up sometimes

    HI ika11,

Yes its the manual version. I do like the car, its far quicker than the rust bucket I had before. So for me it is sporty! lol....

Thanks for the tips.. Are those things you mentioned easy to check? Otherwise I will probably just get the garage to do it and hope that the warranty covers it.

    Cheers

Hi ive just posted an update called central locking, it doesn,t read well.
My Bora 150tdi was hesitating on take off and slow to respond when accelerating.
It seemed like an injector then it dropped a valve,
Have it pressure tested but don,t be fobbed off at main dealer who said mine was air restriction and then turbo. None were faulty.
