Mines done 2400 miles and to be fair, I've never run in any new car I've had (and this is my 6th brand new car). I'm always careful for the first few hundred miles whilst the brakes etc bed in, but modern cars are so Advanced they don't really need running in, in my opinion.

I'm not patient enough to wait that long anyway

    Hi JSRed,

The procedure is the same on the new S-Tronics. Or rather, I have a MY17 and that's the procedure that's written in my handbook.

On the early S-Tronics it was never that well publicised by Audi.

I don't know if they build the new S-Tronics slightly differently (Gen 2 maybe?) but it's now an approved feature and the 200 limit has been removed.

I think the delay is nearer half a second. Did this a couple of years ago with my allroad and timed 0 - 60 with dynolicious on an iPhone.

Just planting the accelerator in sport mode gave about 5.5 secs to 60 MPH (allroad is quoted at 5.6 secs to 100 kph / 62 MPH so that seems about right).
Following the launch control procedure (and I only reved it to 2800 - the both turbos are spooled up at that point) resulted in 4.9 secs to 60 MPH.
A6 allroad BiTdi (MY14, July 2013 - DAB & power tailgate). Glacier white, tech pack (HDD Nav, colour DIS, Parking Plus), sports seats, 4 zone climate, heated seats front and rear, ambient lighting, 75L fuel tank, adaptive Bi Xenon headlights

You've only got to do the brake and accelerate within 5 seconds, not everything else
