Two of my alloys have flat spots, went to the only place around here (well South Lanarkshire - nice drive though) that has the facilities to machine wheels rather than just refurbish them. Turns out, to get them back to the original diamond cut finish will cost between £500 and £600. To get them painted black or silver would be £350.

Considering I can get new wheels for this price I'm swithering about whether to get the same wheels (first pic on my car as is) or the new RS4 style ones. I want to get Audi ones as I think any other set of wheels will make my car look boy racer-ish. The wheels I have on my car now look great but I'm very tempted to get the RS4 ones.

Any thoughts? Or even better is anyone any good with photoshop and could photoshop those wheels onto my car photo? :-)

Hi mate are the ones in the first pic the A8 alloys??? I like them i might get me a set. You could do with getting a pic of the RS4's on the A3 in black so you can match and decide.

Yeah the ones on my car are the A8 ones - very popular. The pics you get on websites aren't real so it's hard to tell how it'll really look with them.

But I'm impulsive and just ordered the RS4 ones anyway, so I'll take a pic once they are on my car

Good choice, obviously it’s only my opinion but I don’t like the A8 wheels but think the new RS4’s look wicked.

Am thinking about a new TT, if so will tick the option marked 19” RS4 wheels!!!!!

Got the wheels couple of weeks ago and managed to "source" some great Dunlop Sport tyres. Fitted them last night in the freezing cold but totally worth it - this is them on my car:

I think the RS4's look great, there are too many mk4 Golf's running around with A8 wheels now unfortunately
