    hi

my wing mirror on my 2008 c6 avant has been detached from an impact, it has snapped the metal casting leaving me with the mirror hanging by the electrics. I have a replacement with full electrics but cannot work out how to remove.

i've had the complete door card off and removed a couple of fasteners that appeared to be holding the mirror on, disconnected the mirror plug and pushed the integral bung with the wiring through to the inside of the door but it seems there is somethings else holding it still, the casting part is still rock solid.

i feel i might end up doing more damage than good here, does anyone know of a guide or how to remove and replace the damaged wing mirror??

Pretty sure you need to seperate the upper door frame as this also houses the window regulator and the mirror is attached to the frame rather than the door, this will allow removal of the mirror.
