A freind of mine has just phoned to check something out as he knows i'm VAG mad.

A couple of his college friends have had there golfs mk IV's and 1 Bora owner have had there rear windows smashed in and items stolen from the car, inc Wheels in 1 case!!!

Apparently, if the rear window is smashed on these vehicles, it disables the Alarm, and thus leaves the theives to have the loot away.

I disagreed, and said the rear window (and heater) has nothing to do with the alarm, but just thought i'd check with you guys to see if any of you of heard of this?

    Thanks in advance

    Nick

Have your friends take turns hiding with a baseball bat and have them use it like Barry Bonds on the creep next time, that should fix the problem

I've heard (and I don't know how true this is) that on the original Mondeos that you could so something similar by shorting out an indicator bulb.
