As the UK isn't covered by this recall, do we know if all of the VAG brands would have notified their service departments of this oil change requirement?

Also, do we have any specific data from after which all DQ200 DSG boxes were manufactured using the mineral oil?

I've recently bought a 2013 SEAT Altea with the 7spd-DSG DQ200 box & have no idea if I should be concerned or not!

    Cheers, nervously!

It is not the Mechatronic fluid I would be worried about it is the pressure accumulator mounting that is the BIG problem now

On the subject of cars surviving accidents.
I was driving home late one evening in Palma, Mallorca in my Ro80, in the outside lane of the busy 2 lane motorway running round the city.
I was just passing a feeder lane from a junction when a car shot in front of me, travelling a lot faster then me.
He had somehow made it through a gap between the line of cars on my right, but was closely followed by another car, obviously racing, who was headed straight at my bonnet.
I swerved to the left and braked hard. He clipped my front right wing, but continued down the road ahead of me.
It had been raining; my left wheels ran into the muddy centre reservation while the right wheels were still on the dry road surface, so my car spun violently to the right.
I corrected the spin, and came to a stop just out of my lane, but at 90ş to the traffic, and my front bumper raked the side of a large Peugeot, gouging a deep groove across its front wing, both pillars and doors. It looked totally unrepairable.
This shows the damage to the front of my Ro80.

It's not the Mechatronic fluid that I'm worried about, it's the gearbox oil that the control circuit side of the Mechatronic sits in.

I've no idea if mine would have been filled with the original synthetic oil or the mineral oil used from some date as a result of the sulphur/shorts issues.

If it is filled with the synthetic then I'll have the oil replaced with the mineral oil, but at over Ł200 (SEAT prices) I wont if it's likely got the mineral oil already in it.

As for the accumulator housing, I guess there ain't much I can do about that......if it goes, it goes!!!!

    Cheers
