I know this fault code is very common
Does anyone know the resistance value of a good sensor?

Was thinking of putting a resistor between the wiring plug terminals
    & clearing the fault code

If you are just going to bodge it rather than fix it there doesn't seem to be any point, you can just ignore the fault code which is what most people do.

if its hydraulic, maybe the seal is away and there is no oil in it ..................................

phone the parts department & ask for a price for the part, not supply and fit
