Has anyone removed this piece of trim before? I have an a7 but i believe this is the same center console section between the two models:

I have figured out how to remove the gear shift surround and mmi controls but after that i have no idea where to start. I bought a new piece from ebay.de which is in excellent condition compared to my dented, scratched piece. Any help would be appreciated.

Big enough job it seems. This thread pretty much covers it:

Did this tonight, about 2.5 hours all in using the above guide. There will be different amount of connectors depending on your trim level/options etc.

I only broke 1 small tab off the rear vent cover, wasn't too bad considering how tightly put together this interiors are, especially when its the first time they are apart!

Looks a bit of a ball ache!
I may have to give it a go at some point as my one has a few dings in it.

How much was the replacement trim?

I got the replacement trim from Ebay so it used, it looked a lot better condition than mine so i took a chance, it only cost me 30 euro + postage! There is a couple of light hazy scratches but not noticeable really and no dents on it

They cost 240 euro new from Audi. Ideally i wanted the carbon one, but new they are crazy money and they don't really pop up on their own on Ebay
