Diesel fuel pumps cutting out when refilling my Touran.

I've noticed lately especially at the more modern fuel pumps that they frequently cut out mid fill up which gets very annoying when trying to work out if I've got a full tank or not. The worst pumps I've found are new Sainsbury's pay at pump ones as I'm lucky to get £5 in before they cut out and sometimes i can only get 2 or 3 litres in at a time before I have to release the pump trigger.

Anyone else experienced this or is it just me?

Mines a 2007 2.0 tdi sport if it makes any difference.

Yup it seems to be only if you put all the way in. Leave 6inch of pipe nozzle visible and it works for me with my 06 TDI se

Yep that works also seemed to get slightly more fuel in as well.
