I have a 2009 Audi A6 with the 3.0T engine. Im pretty sure i have 2G MMI as well. I need help finding a backup camera solution to my car. Visibility out the back is not great and having a camera would make life easier. Anyone have ideas about backup camera options?

If you want the OEM system this is what you need to do.

    Samepage

I installed it into my 2009 facelift A6 Saloon which does not involve the control head.

There are other cheap options but you have to live with the screen being an add on and not on the MMI screen.

Some people have put the system where the screen is in the rear view mirror onto their cars.

If that concerned about messing something up wouldn't t make sense to take it to a specialist?

I know some stateside, however as your location just says 'usa' they're not worth sharing since such a large country

I thought all facelifts were 3G with the SD card interface...but could be wrong?

Nah Ill take the risk as long as I can find a good manual. Im located in Northern California and the specialists here are ripoffs. This job would take me into the thousands. I'd rather not spend that much money

Do a search for ‘a bit of rebuild’ B5NUT did an install for an advant.

The install will work on the 3G basic or High.

That is only related to 2G MMI where you need the high version control head.

The 3G is wired into the MMI Unit via the quad lock connector.
