Well never thought this day would come, dad went out in the car to do some errands and while he was stationary at a roundabout, a taxi was flying down the road behind him. Too late to realise he was speeding, hit the car and pushed dad about 2-3 feet foward. Anyway pictures are below.

I'm sooo depressed right now, we are going through insurance as its a new car I want the best possible job to be done on it...

Sorry to see this Maj, don't think it'll be a write off though...

Hopefully will be repairable depending on the hidden damage. Hope your dad is ok.

    Hope everyone is OK.

Just looks like a rear bumper, bumper bar and associated trim etc. to me though.

Nowhere near is that a write-off, if it was 10 years older then may be.

Yea dad is fine just a bit shook up. Alright the cool then boot might need to be changed Aswell. As either side the gaps are different. The most annoying part to all this though is that the dash cam was not working so have no recording of the incident.

Looks like the crash bar took most of the brunt of the impact (which is good). If you lift the false floor of the boot and look around the trailing side of the boot and the spare wheel well, is there any damage visible there? Compare it with the damage to my last car in this thread: Bash!!!!
There are lots of photos - page 2 shows the damage from inside the boot.

My car was repaired even with this level of damage. If you're lucky there may be no damage inside the boot. I suspect they will repair it - just make sure it goes to a good repairer (unlike the sorry tale of my car)

    Good luck!!

Unless he had a rear facing camera, you'd not have seen much anyway?
