Audio bong warning

Our 2012 1.6tdi match has an audio bong warning even with the key removed. Nothing on the display to associate with it. It's a single bong with a long pause between the next one. Not there when driving.
Pretty sure it's bonging when we're not in the car either, as it's flattened the battery.

Any clues as to the cause, I've checked all doors and boot are closed properly, light are off or auto etc.

Additional information, there is an ESC warning in the cluster which I didn't spot as you need to select it. Also traction control and steering wheel amber light on dash, this is the wife's car so might have been there before or not.

Sorry to hear about your bong.
You need to take it to a garage to get the codes read. This will narrow the problem down.

Put the battery on charge for 36hrs and all's well.
Still had ECS and Steering warnings on startup but these soon cleared once driving. Bonging not noticeable either.
