A few weeks ago I purchased a piggyback ECU chip made by Racechip. Like any quick mod, I was pretty skeptical about improvement, but today I got around to installing it. I would say, there is a noticeable difference in the throttle response and power between 2-3k rpm. The short time that I got to play with it during lunch break wasn't enough to do an apples/orange comparison since I installed it but wasn't able to get the app to work. My serial number is not recognized by the android app and I have to manually put it dummy plug to go back to stock instead of switching while driving. I contacted the company about an hour ago, and am waiting to hear back. Tonight I plan to hook up my BlueDriver OBD scanner and see if I can log some 0-60 times. The BlueDriver has logging capability for speed on the OBD port, but I am not sure if it has a fast enough sampling rate when it saves the data. I will report more after I play around a bit.

Most of the time was spent removing the intake filter housing, the rest was straightforward. Just to give an idea, here is a picture of the top of the motor with and without the stuff that needs to be moved. There are two sensors that are bypassed. In the picture one of them is right above the Oil fill port, and the second is on the opposite side of the intake. The second time around it took 10 minutes to take everything off.

I haven't been able to accurately measure the performance, but I enjoy it every day. I got a couple different OBD2 devices that measure speed versus time, but between both of them the numbers were all over the place. Not accurate enough to really get down to the tenth of a second. For my type of driving Dynamic/Sport 24/7, it is perfect. I am approaching 12k with it installed the whole time. Not once have I had any faults or issues. When and if the real pulley upgrade is out, I am all over it. An exhaust system would be nice too. I bet that would wake the car up even more.
