Front Seat Belt Pre-Tensioners Query

Guys, quick question if I may

I've noticed via the brochure and some of the scans I've got from your cars that some of you have Seat Belt Pre-Tensioners installed for the driver and passenger seat belts.

Myself however, they are not on my car

I'm trying to work out/find out if they are the ones that once you buckle the seat belt up do they "tense" up a little around your body before you even drive off/or as you start to drive off? I know they are used that if the car senses a collision they will tense up but I sat in some snazzy Merc once and when I buckled up before we even drove off, the seat belt "tensed" up around my body.

Trying to work out if your cars are doing the same.

I see that Satyb/Nemo/Fear B have them installed for example.

Can you clarify for me?

Mine tightens up if I put my foot down hard when in auto drive selection.

Mine tense up a little after I pull away and I think this turns it on and off:

When I drive over 5mph the seat belt tightens up

On pulling away..not sure at what speed though.. wasn't there with the last q7 4l either .. don't remember ticking any op for it though.. chrs

SrbSq7 - thanks for screenshots. I assume you have Electric Steering Column which is why you have "Easy Entry"?

Yeah, I need pre-tensioners... damn it! I may as well just buy a new car at this rate.

Cheers guys, my findings seem to stack up with your comments... so just need to figure whats involved + cost + "is it worth it"

there isnt one, it comes standard on the newer cars AFAIK.
