OK so I didn't tick the option box for rear heated seats as both kids were still in car seats, BUT we've just measured our five-year-old and she is now tall enough (over 135 cm) to not require any seat at all. She is delighted with this but I want to keep her in a child seat until she's at least 150 cm, I think the law in most of Europe states 150 cm which seems more sensible as currently the seatbelt still cross her torso a bit to high up for my liking.

You know what's coming next, and probably one for Andy, but is it possible to retrofit heated rear seats? Wondering if the heating element is already there and it just needs wired up and a switch installed? Does the fact that the front seats are heated make it any easier? I suspect the answer is "no" and that it will be hugely expensive - just had a look on Hazy Days website and it's £1,750 + VAT to retro fit heated front seats. Thought I'd ask anyway as you never know!

    Cheers

    Hey Gyro,

Funny, was looking into this a few days ago

Yeah, I've just looked through and it is possible to retrofit this from what I can see as the heater elements fit under the padding and it says "If fitted" so this implies if its not fitted, you could buy the heated elements and fit them.

    You will also need:

Buttons in the rear console to turn heated seats on/off
    Wiring
    Connectors
A Control Unit for seat heating
    few bolts and brackets.

Your looking about ball park £300-400 per rear seat (middle rear seat isnt heated) + fitting I reckon

Cheers Andy, have you got any spare time for a trip to Edinburgh..lol. Am in awe of your job on the night vision camera by the way - superb effort. I'll have a look around locally and see what I can find.
