Hi guys a bit of help please. I believe that I've got the high version of 2g mmi (colour screen, Nav machine in the boot etc) . When I bought my beautiful A6 last week I was expecting to see whilst reversing the screen graphics showing which reversing sensors are beeping. However there's nothing. Is that something that would get changed with the 5570 update?

I have Bluetooth (not that I've tried it) but to be honest I rarely use the phone so am not sure if the update is of much importance to me. Are there any other useful things that come with the 5570 update? I'd like to update the Nav cd from the current 2008 version but would I be right in thinking that I can do this just by buying the cd? Any ideas on where's the best and obv cheapest place to purchase it from?

The mmi navigation screen is already quite pretty, is the updated 5570 so much better?

thanks for helping me prioritise guys.

Unless you're having issues then I wouldn't update.

The main point of 5570 was bug fixes and there wasn't much other stuff.

Rear OPS needs enabled with a thing called VCDS (if your sensors are factory and the PDC controller supports the feature), updating the firmware won't automatically bring it on.

Thanks Chris for clarifying that, I won't bother with the update then at least for the foreseeable future.

Regarding the OPS update, I would like the sensors to have the graphic on the mmi but without having vcds I will wait until I have a warning code appear or something else dire.......then hopefully seek out a friendly vcds member to help me out. My wife makes lovely Brazilian snacks which I'll of course take with me

Updating the Nav from the current 2008 DVD can just be done by buying the DVD? Even without the use of vcds? What is the most upto date DVD?

Chris whilst I've got your attention can I ask you about the interior/exterior lighting. I've got the pack with wing mirror lighting outside and the strip of lights in the interior side of the door. From what I can tell on the mmi they are all turned upto max but very dull. Can I raise the brightness another way, perhaps with this hidden menu or another method? Without having vcds that is. I was told by the seller that they're already leds....and it's the pre facelift 08 model. Thanks.
