    Afternoon all,

Having a bit of difficulty with the cluster on my v6 mk4 golf, the LCD packed up was planning on sending it off to cartronix or another firm,

Pulled it and thought I'd have little look opened it up removed the Rev needle anti-clockwise and pulled the face etc to get a look and see if I cba to attempt it, decided otherwise before I sent it the Rev needle was out of alignment so I spun it back into place, and quickly tested it...

And it wasn't working right. It gets stuck around at random points and hitting the limiter conks out at 6ish,

Not only that the temp and fuel needles freeze and don't return back to the start,

Just tried adjusting the Rev needle slightly, I read that it should only be adjusted anti clockwise so I spun it around and plugged it back in still not working, after some attempts however I did notice the temp/fuel needles dropped down quicker,

Not sure if it's my constant removing of battery/ plugs at the back,

At the moment it's worse, ive taken the cover off, and just flicked the temp and fuel needles back to start with the ignition off but with batt connected and now nothing works!

Got a diagnostic machine and tried to flick gauges on half/ full nothing happened,
All the wires are fine/ intact, all the lights are working, car starts up fine repeatedly no low battery,

    Any advice much appreciated,

Wondering if it would be easier to just get another good set of clocks with a good lcd screen!
