    Hi enthusiasts

I've Audi A4 B7 2.0 tdi 125kw, year 2007, manual Q. One day cruise control stopped working, connected the car to the VCDS and result was that the cruise control shift was working, but this clutch didn't made any change of these VCDS numbers. So bought a new clutch sensor and today changed it, found step-by-step guide and it was very helpful.

After the change the cruise control works again, but the car acts a bit differently.

    1) E.g when I shift from 1to2 and from 2to3 gear, the revs are going a little bit up before going down (driving with second gear revs are 2000rpm, pressing the clutch pedal and revs are going up about 2100-2200rpm and then going down).

    2) Noticed one odd thing as well, driving like 40km/h and putting gear shift to neutral, realeasing the clutch pedal and gas pedal, but revs are 1000rpm, after I totally stop the car, revs go down to normal app. 850 rpm. These symptoms werent there before changing the clutch sensor.

Before I assembled the car i checked if that sensor is connected properly. Did i somehow broke this sensor? Can anyone help me with this anomaly?

Update: when driving with cruise control on about 60kmph, and turning it off with clutch pedal, then suddenly revs go up from 1800rpm to 2200rpm and then down like normal.

    Best regards

Hook up vcds and drive it watching the screen see if it reacts correctly when driving, the latest version of the pedal sensor is "hall effect"you can tell by the much reduced spring pressure and is easy to fit the older mechanical type can be hit and miss.

yes, i've given a thought about the installing, i did it several times, to make it work, but nothing happened. Can you confirm this installing process, the clutch isn't pressed down, connect the sensor and turn it clockwise till I hear first one smaller click and then turn harder till there comes one "bigger" click? ..and then connect the cable?
