Fair point, but those valves have been in there for at least 60.000 miles

Took the head back to the shop today along with all the little bits.
In all fairness he just said, Leave it with me, i'll put it right for you, get you a new piston, new valves and even a head gasket and we will sort it out afterwards.
His view was that it could have been one of 2 things, either the spring was not seated correctly or the tappet over filled.

So I left feeling fairly optimistic!

Eventually after 5 weeks got the head back, new piston, gasket and bolts all FOC even a full set of exhaust valves.
So got it all back together and was excited to have some power again rather than raking a 1.2 fiesta.
For the first journey all was good, then after i parked up at home for an hour I decided to go out again and thats when I noticed plumes of blue smoke on startup, It quickly cleared but there was always a little cloud of whiteish smoke when pulling away. Quickly put this down to a bad gasket so once again had the head off, tested and replaced it with a genuine gasket only to have the same problem but now its worse.
I am fearing it may be turbo related but am in denial as its fairly recently re-con'd
