Hi, just trying to setup door controller 8T0 959 792 P on the front pass door to support power mirror fold but I'm having difficulty setting up the window regulator. Its a 2015 sportback.

The previous controller Q dropped the window sufficiently to allow smooth opening of the door without catching the door trim surround. I have coded the new controller to the same but the window doesn't drop as much and catches slightly. Do I need to program the regulator positions to tell car what drop is required when 'Short lift active' is enabled?

    Thanks

Afraid I'm still struggling with this, tried a different door controller and it still won't drop the window correctly when you open door with window up, nor will it raise the window slightly when you open the door with the window down. Is there a specific procedure to follow? Can't believe both door controllers are faulty. I have tried all obvious settings in VCDS, it's as if the 'Short Lift Active' Option isn't being recognised.

Did you copy and paste your original coding from the factory controller into the new one?

yes, same coding exactly. It seems to ignore the settings though, controller is setup for A5 but behaves as A4. Wondering if there are other options but not available in VCDS. Or I need to do something else in parallel to properly code it.

I`ll throw a random thought in here. Have you tried the old Window re-learn procedure? Not sure if its applicable here but worth a try.
Pull switch up and hold a few sec. when window reaches top. Press switch and hold down a sec. or two when window stops at bottom.

Good idea and I tried that, it does set the top and bottom positions for one click raising/lowering but doesn't sort the issue.

Risky approach but I decided to play around with the drivers side that works fine. I switched off the 'Short Lift Active' option in the coding to see what would happen and nothing happened. The window still raised when door was opened with the window down so it looks like its a controller that VCDS can't fully configure as the coding applied does not take effect. Seems like additional configuration is applied at the factory which stays with the controller when amended with VCDS. Still hoping I'm wrong.
