Gearbox Replacement

Been lurking on here for a while after buying an A4 se estate last year and loving it. Unfortunately it got written off last week. Have replaced it with a 2007 s line auto. The car is excellent and fully equipped sunroof sat nav etc. Unfortunately the day after buying it, the multitronic started playing up. The dealer agreed to replace the box. I have done a 200 mile round trip today to the Bristol Gearbox Centre. Fully recon and uprated box, 7 clutches etc for £1250 fitted. The car is now fully sorted. I can highly recommend this company...great service and comfy while u wait surroundings. I don't work for them or have any interest in the company, just sharing a great service experience!!

These multitronic issues are making me reconsider getting an A4, which is a shame as I really like them. Glad you got it sorted. Was the full cost covered by the warranty?

Now the box is fixed, it's great. Smooth changes in both sport and drive. The full cost was met by the dealer who I have to say has been first class in sorting it all out for me

Was it an audi main dealer? Glad to hear it is sorted.

I bought it from a little independent garage in Ibstock. The service I have received has been better than I could have hoped for. I doubt an Audi dealer would have been so helpful!
