Does anyone out there have any experiences (that you'd like to share!) of running a Golf Tdi (PD) on neat bio-diesel ?
Im considering giving it a go, but would like to hear from anyone else who already has.

I've run a PUG 406 on SVO (straight vegetable oil) before and it was great!

But when using veg oil/bio diesel it seems the rule of thumb is 'older the car the better'.

See if you can find anything on Goat Industries website about running a PD with it.

If I couldn't find any decent resources evidencing sucessful use with no long term wear/damage issues, then its perhpas not worth taking the risk. In any event I wouldn't run my PD on it.

    Biodiesel - a summary

    Bio-Diesel anyone?

The above two threads are by a member who has a 2001 Passat 1.9 TDi running on 100% biodiesel.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

You reckon that sticker was from the hire company (even if it's VW dealer) or actually done at factory by manufacturer?

I'm just thinking that some hire car companies don't want people trying to put any variation of bio-diesel in just to be safe.

I would have thought manufacturers would be working towards produing cars that were more accepting of renewable fuels.

I think the UK is working towards a standard mix of 5% diesel accross all forecourts by a certain year. I think Tesco all ready do that.

It was a VW manufacturer sticker.. it was on the sticker that states tyre pressures etc..
