    Hi all,

I'm new to the site so hope some of you can put me in the right direction. I have had my car since new and she has never missed a heartbeat until lately. It has suddenly down on power a little. In the past if I floored her, she would pin you to the back of the seat. but now she's lost it. I'm not saying that all the power is lost, its as if she wants to go but something is telling it to hold back. Hopefully I've explained this correctly. I have changed the Diverter valve (it already had the revised one fitted), changed the spark plugs, checked the PCV, checked for vacuum leaks, never missed a service, VPower is the only fuel used, and I have also added BG44K to the tank, no smoke from the exhaust, and oil consumption is ok. Made no difference. there is no errors codes and the CEL has not came on. Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks in advance if some of you can help me on this matter.

    John

just curious how you know the cat is fine. maybe if you told us everything thats already been checked then no one else has to make repeat guesses.

Emissions is good and still the same reading from 2 years ago, and as I have mentioned on my post there is no check engine light on. The cat is therefore good. However if I need to check for a physical look i would have to carry out a vacuum test on it. I trust the emissions sensor is working. Please accept my apologies for not mentioning this. Thanks.

if you fancy a trip to Torrance I could look at the Live Data and do a scan with my autel vag 505 .............................. which isn't near as good as vcds ............................... but can save to micro sd card for others to look at if you want

It can do a scan on all the systems, which can show a fault, just it doesn't set the engine management light on ; but it will tell you

An evening would normally be good for me but I am on call this week and weekend. So I could see you in 3 weeks time if that's ok.

you could buy the autel vag 505 for around £90

it resets the service light, rewinds the electric brakes in rear, does deep scans etc in a wide variety of makes

    might be easier ?
