    Hi all

It's my first post here, i've searched for similar issues but i couldn't find any

A couple of days ago I got my new Passat 1.6 TDI (company car....) that came with the discover media infotainment system (not the pro)

I went to the dealer, plugged the phone to the USB under the armrest so I could charge the battery...when arrived home, disconnected the phone from the charger and tried to configure the car-net via WLAN connection

Problem: The system kept saying that it had a car-stick plugged and couldn't use the WLAN. (at this point, nothing was connected to the usb port)

After a couple of hours, two factory defaults and a few "reboots" to the car (open and close the door, starting and stopping the engine, etc), I was finnally able to configure the WLAN connection and activate car-net. At this point I tought that, since I own a Huawei P8 phone and VW partnered with Huawei to build the communications system, the car "thought" that my phone was the car-stick and kept that in mind

Now, the weird thing: After that, i decided not to connect the phone to the USB port again, so this morning, entered the car, and the WLAN connection worked fine. Went to work, stopped the car, everything was fine (once again, nothing connected to the USB port).
After a couple of hours, I left the building, returned to the car and the WLAN was locked again with the same message...there was a car-stick plugged and it couldn't use the WLAN connection...once more...nothing has been connected to the USB port...

I've e-mailed my car dealer with the issue and he was unable to answer me...right now i'm waiting for an answer from VW which, i guess, will take weeks to arrive...

    Has this happened to anyone??

    Thank you!

Hey, I've got the same problem. WLAN was configured correctly, after connecting the phone to the USB port car says a car-stick is connected and can't connect anymore via WLAN on my phone's hotspot. Factory resets and car on/off won't help. Any solution on this?

    Tx!

    Kr,

    Steve
