Hi all,

Just wanted to ask this on the forum with the hope that someone can give me a simple answer, I have seen some cars which are 'T FSI' and some are 'TFSI', I know someone at work who has a 2.0t A3 and I am trying to pin down the difference between the engines.

I am asking as I am looking to get a 2.0 TFSI powered A3 next year for a project and just want to make sure I can spot the engine I am after.

I know that there was a 2nd gen 2.0 TFSI engine fitted to the A4 which has variable lift, however I don't know if that was fitted to the A3 at all?

My questions is:

Is there actually a difference between the 2.0 T FSI and the 2.0 TFSI?

If so, which year should I look at getting as I am after a TFSI, looking at the different engine specs it would seem that there was either the 150PS FSI engine (guessing no turbo) and the 200PS TFSI engine with no real difference between the AXX/BPY/BWA/CAWB and the CCZA engine although it seems that the CCZA engine was fitted to later models?
