So, you are sure the injectors have been changed during the recall and the fuel filter shows no sign of engine oil contamination?

1 injector was replaced by the previous owner and the the other 3 were done as part of the recall. I haven't looked at the filter but will do.

Hi Steve! Sorry for reopening a 6 years old topic. I have the same symptoms with my BKP and for the last 3 years I have been struggling to find a solution to this problem. I've already replaced a set of injector units. Did you, by any chance, solved the problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Andi,
No I’m afraid not. I part ex’d it in the end, I was honest about the fault it had. I needed a car for work so had to. I was going to try the pump next though if I’d of kept it.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Are you referring to the tandem pump (high pressure) or the fuel delivery module (low pressure)?

I had this exact fault on my B6 BMR. Turned out to be the Torsion Value that needs checking after a timing belt change just using VCDS. Out of 7 so called VW/AUDI specialists only 1 had ever heard of needing to do this (Worrying). So the 1 garage that knew about it who had actually found out through VW UK Technical sorted it out in under an hour. No more diesel smell or smoke out the back. Could not believe it was such a simple fix.
