I've got 2.4 V6 AGA engine that seems determined to leak oil.

Changed rocker cover and cam rear gaskets, but seem to have oil dripping down the air con condensor onto the filter and being blown every where by the fan, on the near side bank.

Think it might be a rubber hose that goes from the oil filter up to that side of the engine held on by spring clips, to what looks like a metal pipe.

Anybody got any advise on if they have needed to change this pipe or if I should look elsewhere.

Tired of the smell of fresh oil, plus wife unhappy about mess on the drive

I had a minor oil leak on my 2.5 V6. Got the dealer to repair under warranty. Was away for 2 weeks, had the whole front end removed to get at the engine! Dealer spent £700 for the leak (labour etc) I spent £200 on the cam belt kit and a few other bits and guess what.............IT STILL LEAKS!!! (Well, only when it's really hot now after, say, a stint on the motorway) Very irritating!

    Ooerrr

I had a 2.8 V6 A4 which leaked oil, a 2.4 V6 A6 which I nicknamed the Tory Canyon, and now have a 2.7T A6 which, do you want to guess? Yes. it leaks like a sieve.

I have come to the conclusion that the Audi V6 engine is designed to leak.

I must say that it doesn't drip on the drive though, just forms little pools on various parts of the engine and then incinerates itself on the manifolds now and again when cornering.

The air con system does a great job of catching the odours and throwing them into the car.

At the moment I have just been told that the cam adjusters are leaking?
