Bought an A6 Avant TDI 130, currently with 205/55/16's. I have an old B5 A4 with 225/45/17's on em. I know the PCD is the same, but would you put the 17's on the A6?
Checked with the Tyre size calculator, and the diameter, radius and circumference all look good.
As an add on, would the 205/55/16's fit on an 04 Golf? This currently has 195/65/15's. I remember reading somewhere that Golfs use 5x110 PCD.
    Thanks.

I think the 17" will be OK, but as you suggest I think that the Golf, A3 & TT are 110 PCD and the Passat, A4, A6, VW T25 &T4 are 112 PCD

    Golf 4, A3 (8L), TT (8N) etc are 100-mm PCD (5x100 M14x1.5).

I have an A6 Avant Q with 225/45 R17s on Ronal Boleros which fit perfectly.

I note that your Golf is an 04 - If it is a Mk 5 then it will be 5x112 PCD. Golf Mk 4s and TTs are 5x100. So the Golf is a Mk 5 then the Audi wheels should fit.
