First time Audi owner... Q7 questions.

Hi all.

I have just bought my first Audi. 2007 Q7.

I'm wondering if you could help me with a few questions...

1) I am wondering if I have bluetooth. I do have functioning Nav, a 6 CD changer in dash, and a Telephone button. When I press the telephone button it tells me nothing is paired, but I can't see a way to pair the phone.

2) Is there a way to get AUX-In or bluetooth music? I can't find an Aux-In anywhere. Not sure of other options.

3) Has anyone added side-steps? Is this a simple job and are there good steps to buy or avoid? Lots on ebay.

OK, I've figured out the bluetooth. I needed to select the TEL button, then the SETUP button. Simple when you know how.

I see no sign of AUX-In or AMI socket. So it may be more difficult.

You can get the cheap cable at Ebay. Just search for Audi Q7 aux cable and that is, only $10 USD.

The USB cable is much more useful for me, as you can plug and leave your USB there. No need to keep opening and closing lid to plug the phone everytime you want to listen to music.

However, I don't know what to plug that in to. I don't have a visible socket (AMI?) in the glove compartment.

It is not in the glove compartment.

Check out in the place where you place your arm while driving, near the central console. Can you open it? It is hidden. But before that, click on MEDIA. Which options your are able to see? Do you see Audi Music Interface?

Just CD in those options. No Audi Music Interface.
I suspect it won't be simple!

I guess it won't.

I had an A6, A8 and a Q7 and they all had this AMI interface, so I am not sure which kind of addon you need.

I recommend going to Audi dealer and ask them which module you need and the Audi part number. Then look for that part number on Ebay and buy it for a third part the cost.
