Been told by my insurance company I need a tracker in the SQ7. I've got one in the X5, a Cobra Track Plus, but I've had a bit of hassle with it so I wasn't going to bother trying to swap it over, and instead buy a new one. Plus the company that fitted it, Trackerfit, have been appaling when it comes to customer services. A friend used www.tracker.co.uk and highly recommends them. They do a Cat 5 plus model that can detect even if a thief has used the keys to steal the car (they give you a fob) and can remotely shut the engine down. It's quite pricey but they also do a Cat 6 that has most of the same features but is considerably cheaper.

Has anyone used this company, or have any other recommendations?

I'd use a different insurance company and get separate Gap insurance in case it gets nicked. Would be cheaper than monthly tracker subs I imagine.

Cheers Nemo, I left a message with the parts department at my local dealers yesterday, although I'm expecting it to be twice the price as an after market one although it would be nice to be surprised.

Big D, understand what you're saying however I can't be bothered going through the rigmarole of changing insurers, spent an inordinate amount of time on it last year and it drove me to distraction. Also, I'm beginning to think it's a good idea to have a tracker regardless of what the insurance people say...

Hello Gyro- did you ever get the Tracker fitted? If so do you know if it has any effect on warranty from Audi, I am looking to get one for my A6.
