Golf MK5 Gear Knob Replacement

Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove and fit a new gear knob to a mk5 Golf tdi?

pull up the leather gear cover around the knob, you will then see a pinch clip which you will have to cut off, then pull up on the knob and it should come off!!!!! good luck

When I cut-off the pinch clip, does this mean it can't be used again?
If, so I presume my new gear knob will come with a new pinch clip?

a new pinch clip should be supplied with the new gear knob if it's vw. you could use a small hose clip or fuel line clip to retain your old gear knob if required! hope that helps
