My Audi A4 B8 1.8T currently have 17" alloy and 225/50 on them. Overall I'm ok with the comfort etc but I really like to put some bigger wheels on them to improve the look. I know I will lose comfort but I'm ok with that.

What wheel size will go with the SE? I take it if I put 18" on I won't have to mess around with the suspension? I will have problem if I put 19" on my car?

I would say that even 18s might look a bit odd with the standard SE ride height.

Do you have any way of trying some on before committing?

You will not have any issue with suspension if you go with 19", it will just look like monster truck.

Pick from links setup you like and go for it!

Basically I need to lower the car to fit anything beyond my current setup? I will probably leave it as it is if that's the case.

No, its about what you prefer, its a bit personal look vs comfort etc:

17" standard, dont know whats the tire spec, but 18" will not look any worse

Those are 18" on the photo? Doesn't seem the height is change. I guess the tyres are 245/40 R18?

As you up/downsize the wheel, you also down/upsize the tyre size - this retains the rolling radius of the wheel and keeps the speedometer true.

Because the overall size of the wheel/tyre doesn't change, the ride height remains unchanged.

My current car have 17" and 225/50 tyres and if I change to 18" 245/40 ride height should be the same right? Does the wheel arch gap remain the same too? Only way to reduce that gap is to lower the car?

You'll lose about 2mm in ride height moving from those wheels to the new ones. You'll not notice any difference though, correct.

To reduce the gap you'll have to lower the ride height, yes.
