Yep afraid injectors with uprated nozzles are needed fairly early on in tuning one of these engines, and they dont come cheap! want inspiration? think this owner got the tuning bug bigtime........

Hi, You can replace the injector nozzles with bigger ones. I have a set of used nozzles from a 110 which i took out of mine, however adding nozzles can cause shuddering near idle and smoke(extra fuel) which you can get around but you should do some research before you go ahead with this, they are pretty easy to change. Dont know if your supposed to mention other forums on here but check out tdiclub.com there is loads of info on there about this sort of thing.

Hello Nige, Did you check out that other forum? really there is loads of info on there which could help you, basically you need to do something that iincreases fueling the extra fuel is why you get the shudder when your car nears idle, you can get around this by making some other adjustments but you need to do some research you also need vagcom, as how you do it varies on your engine type. There is a mod you can do which adds more fuel by putting a resistor between 2 wires do a search for Evry mod on that forum.

I agree, very good forum, regards shuddering issue do a search for 'Hammer mod' too,not for the faint hearted but very effective if done carefuly, monitoring fuelling with vag.com or similar as you go.....

Try adding a fuel heater (water or electrical) litrally just before the the pump to smooth the fuel liquidity flow to the injectors. Insulate the piping so they do not loose any heat from the fuel. This helped my TD. Do not guarrentee, but it worked for me.
