Hoping someone can help with these queries. It's my understanding that to fit a towbar to a 2015 A6 allroad, it is preferable (though not strictly necessary) to have the Audi towbar prep kit which makes wiring a lot easier.

Is there anything else non-electrical required - e.g. mounting points or the like, or are all A6's capable of having it fitted?

Can the standard bumper remain in place as is, or do any changes need to be made to it to allow fitment?

    Thanks in advance.

if its anything like the a6 avant like I have then it already is towbar prepared and already has the cut out in the bumper. My electrics where plug and play with a little coding after, the physical fitting of the towbar took a couple of hours

Hi All A6's have the Mounting points, the only A6 not homologated to tow is the RS6 so nothing else requires ordering from the dealers. The bumper already has a letterbox shape cut out underneath the bumper and that's where the towbar would poke out (I'm not sure if this is included in the prep but every one we have fitted has already had the cut out).
If you'd like an all in cost fitted at home with the OEM parts or have any questions then give us a call on 0161 886 5796

I got mine from PFJOnes, was the Westfalia detachable with dedicated electrics, spot on kit, well made. Even the electrical box fits where the Audi towbar ecu would be, highly recommended
