If i instal a new turbo, injectors, intercooler etc to my golf mk5 1.9 TDI BXE, ill obviously need to get it remapped to set free the extra power. Is there any particular device such as blue fin that is worth me buying so i can constantly update my chip, or will i have to take it to my local ECU specialist after i do the work? please recommend me an ECU device or give me advice, im just not sure weather i can tell the file that ive got a new turbo, intercooler bla bla, not really sure how it all works tbh lol, thanks

Don't do anything or drive it until the upper big end bearings have been changed , the BXE is infamous for a conrod through the block without warning .

personally i would sell it and buy an older pre 2005 pd engine with 130 bhp, or 150 if i could find one, then map that.

IMO, the AWX/AVF are amazing engines tbh, even standard. Love mine. Probably one of VWs best. Solid, easy to work on and good for tuning.. I agree with zollaf bud.

you are into a whole different ball game though. you would need the engine and ecu, and are the wires going to connect up ? will it work ? who knows. far better to sell what you have and buy a mk4 golf with either 130 or 150 bhp and modify that. for a start off you might get insured on one that got the right engine. start trying to get insured on your mk5 golf with an engine it was never fitted with and you might find you have built an uninsurable driveway ornament.
